On the evening of December 28, the New Year reception for foreign teachers in Beijing Language and Culture University and award ceremony for outstanding foreign teachers kicked off.  The reception was attended by more than 100 people, including faculty leaders, liaison teachers, all foreign teachers and their families.

The reception recognized 8 outstanding foreign teachers, 3 best foreign teachers of the year and 3 outstanding foreign teacher liaison officers. Speaking on behalf of the award-winning foreign teacher, Quan Xiuzhen, a Korean teacher from School of Asian Languages and Cultures, said that since she studied in BLCU in 1993, she has witnessed tremendous changes in China’s 40 years of reform and opening up, and has experienced many“first - time” experiences in BLCU such as learning Chinese for the first time, publishing translation works for the first time and teaching for the first time. The whole teacher thanked BLCU for its concern and care for foreign teachers and hoped to work hard to serve BLCU.
