On Monday, October 8, the Confucius Institute Chinese Language Teaching Center successfully held the 6th Chinese Character Input Contest in the Yudianshan Global City Campus.

The Chinese character input contest is divided into “basic” and “application” groups according to the Chinese level of the contestants. The contestants first entered Chinese characters according to the manuscript specified in the contest, and then were ranked according to the typing speed and accuracy.

Computertyping technology is a necessary skill in modern society. This competition made the contestants aware of the importance of accuracy knowledge of Chinese pinyin for Chinese character input. I hope that the contestants will take this competition as a good opportunity to study Chinese hard and strive for a better Chinese proficiency.
