On the afternoon of October 15, the 2018 “Chinese Bridge-Autumn Camp for Australian Middle School Students”, which is hosted by the Confucius Institute Headquarters/Hanban and the Education and Training Department of the Victorian Government in Australia and organized by the Beijing Language and Culture University College of Intensive Chinese Studies, was held in BLCU. This was also the opening ceremony of the “Victorian Future Youth Leaders Visit China Project ( Beijing Station )

In the next two weeks, Australian candidates will not only learn Chinese lessons in Beijing, listen to lectures on Chinese history and culture, and experience Chinese traditional culture, but will also visit the Forbidden City, the Great Wall, the Temple of Heaven, the Summer Palace and other places of interest, experience diversified old Beijing customs through the oblique streets of smoking bags, experience the thick history of China in the hutongs, learn about Beijing’s unique customs in museums, and watch acrobatics performances with Chinese elements in Chaoyang Theatre. It’s believed that through these colorful courses and activities, young talents from Australia will be able to truly feel the broadness and profoundness of traditional China and the vitality of modern society and come up with their stories with China.
