On the afternoon of October 16, the Pakistani education delegation , with representatives from Pakistan inter-provincial liaison department, University of Punjab, University of Karachi and National University of Modern Languages, visited Beijing Language and Culture University.
The two sides discussed issues of expanding the cooperative platform of Confucius Institute and strengthening the ties between Confucius Institute and local institutions. At present, there is a great demand for Chinese learning talents in Pakistan, and more than 260 Pakistani students are studying in BLCU now. Both sides said they would further expand China-Pakistan educational exchanges and cooperation to train more talents.
Ahmad Nisar, Head of Pakistan's inter-provincial liaison department, said that Pakistan-China friendship has long been deeply rooted in the hearts of the people, and the construction of the “China-Pakistan Economic Corridor” and “the belt and road initiative” has inspired people’s desire for Chinese learning, and the country is willing to actively support cooperation with BLCU, assist BLCU in contacting Pakistani universities and finally contribute to the friendship between Pakistan and China.
