On the morning of March 30, the seventh Beijing Language and Culture University international translation and interpreting competition and simultaneous interpretation invitational competition was kicked off in the simultaneous interpreting lab of International Center for Language Services in Beijing Language and Culture University.

The purpose of the simultaneous interpretation invitational competition is to strengthen the horizontal teaching exchange and mutual learning in interpreting and translation colleges and universities in China. Contestants are selected and recommended by each translation and interpreting college and each college can recommend 1 to 2 college teams. The theme of this simultaneous invitational contest is "Belt and Road: Change through Dialogue ".

The successful holding of the simultaneous interpretation invitational competition has promoted the communication between translation institutes in China. Contestants say they have learned a whole new lesson from this competition, which is similar to the real simultaneous job, and they have benefited greatly from the comments made by top interpreters.
