On the morning of December 10th, the founding ceremony of the Beijing Literature Language and Cultural Heritage Research Base and the first academic advisor and academic committee meeting were held in BLCU.

Professor Liu Li, BLCU President and Director of BLCU the Beijing Literature Language and Cultural Heritage Research Base pointed out that in the future, the focus of the research base would be balance the relationship between literature language research and cultural inheritance, attach great importance to Beijing characteristics, clarify academic goals and narrow the study; focus on improving innovative ability, see through problems from the perspective of linguistics, form the academic characteristics with the integration of Chinese and Western, ancient and modern academic characteristics, and ultimately form the pattern of serving Beijing and research results radiating throughout the country; improve BLCU’s social service capacity, attach importance to the talent training, establishing first-class subjects, and strive to make contributions to base education.

Then the present professors expressed their views and opinions on the status of documentary languages and cultural heritage. Chief Expert and Executive Director Professor Hua Xuecheng made a comprehensive report on the base construction. Prof. Luo Weidong, the Vice Director of the base, reported the situation of the data construction and postgraduate education in the base. Professor Xu Zhaodong, Vice Director of the base, reported on the construction of base informationization, finally, the Director of the Academic Committee Professor Sun Yuwen made a brilliant summary of the conference.
