On the evening of December 6, the final of the eighth BLCU "Siyu Cup" Chinese Debate Competition was held at the Run Run Shaw lecture hall.

The topic of the final debate was "During the cross-cultural communication process, which is more important, the cultural insistence or the cultural integration?" Throughout the debate, both the defenders expressed their views clearly and logically, displaying skillful debating skills and good speculative ability. Candidates presented talks that crackle with wit and wisdom, had verbal warfare, and their excellent performance had won the applause of the audience. After the debate, the judges reviewed the performance of both parties and presented the awards to the winning teams and candidates.

So far, the eighth session of the Beijing Language and Culture University "Siyu Cup" Chinese debate had ended. These debates not only showed the rigorous and meticulous thinking ability, confident and contagious stage performance and tacit cooperation within the team members, but also showed the unique charm of debate, passed on the spirit of debate, and further developed our university’s debate culture.
