December 5, Beijing Language and Culture University National Language Resource Monitoring and Research Center of Plane Media Center released the 2017 China Top Ten buzzwords including: the nineteen national congress of the CPC, a new era, sharing, Xiong'an New Area, the BRIC countries, artificial intelligence, human destiny community, Tianzhou-1, roll up the sleeves and pitch in together, Remain true to our original aspiration and keep our mission firmly in mind.

The top ten buzzwords of Chinese media in 2017 are based on the national language resources monitoring corpus, which is obtained by using the language information processing technology and combining with the artificial post-processing extraction and screening. The sources of the corpus include all the texts of 15 domestic newspapers from January 1, 2017 to the end of November 2017. These newspapers contain domestic government agencies, local Metropolis Daily and evening newspapers with large circulation, with a scale of nearly 500 million words, representing the focus and language features of the mainstream Chinese media and their changes.

      The top ten buzzwords of the media of 2017 use terms to summarize the unforgettable current events, world affairs and popular sentiments of the year and to record the changes both in the world and in the times.
