On the afternoon of December 16, the first session of the ASEAN-China Centre Students' Chinese Competition in Beijing, which was organized by ASEAN-China Centre and was co-sponsored by China Association of Language and Culture Center of Beijing Language and Culture University and China Construction First Building (Group) Corporation Limited, sponsored by China-ASEAN Center, and co-hosted by Tianjin University and Hebei Normal University, Build a bureau building lecture hall was held at China Construction First Building (Group) lecture hall.

After nearly two hours of fierce competition and six professional judges’ selection, Vietnamese student Ruan Guocai of Beijing Language and Culture University won the first prize of the first session of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei ASEAN International Students Chinese Contest Final. Nearly a thousand ASEAN students in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region took part in the competition and fiercely contested. A large number of excellent ASEAN candidates with high Chinese proficiency and good knowledge of Chinese culture and superb talent were emerging. During the competition, ASEAN international students established a profound friendship with Chinese youth and it was also a China-ASEAN youth event. This competition further enhanced the academic standard of ASEAN international students, encouraged them to study hard in Chinese, to promote mutual exchanges and to become the messengers of friendly exchanges between China and ASEAN in the future.
