In the evening of December 11, Beijing Language and Culture University Partner Institutes Alliance Conference was held in Xi'an. President Liu Li gave a welcome speech at the Union Conference, reviewed the running status of the Confucius Institute at our university and the founding history of the University Union, and thanked the cooperation institutions for their support.

President Liu Li expressed his affirmation of the work done in the past year for the establishment of the alliance and encouraged all member universities to continue to put forward suggestions for the development of the alliance and actively organize and participate in various forms of exchange activities so as to enhance the cooperation between various cooperative institutions in student enrollment, discipline construction, student cultivation and faculty exchanges and other aspects of cooperation.

That night, BLCU also organized a symposium on the Chinese President of the Confucius Institute at the Confucius Institute. In the meeting, the Chinese Director introduced the operation of Confucius Institutes and that of their university, shared the successful experiences and reported the existing problems. On behalf of BLCU, President Liu Li thanked all the Deans for their hard work, and requested everyone to make use of the opportunities abroad so as to understand and study the management and teaching experience of the local universities, and help establish effective communication channels between BLCU and the cooperative institutions. Various cooperation among universities contributed the development of the Confucius Institute. In addition, it is necessary to strengthen the management of people, property and finance within the Confucius Institutes, and rationally and properly use the Confucius Institute resources.
