On November 22 and November 23, the fifth "CRI" Cup National University Speech Contest for Arabic Major was held in the BLCU Run Run Shaw Auditorium. President Liu Li attended the ceremony and delivered an important speech.

The competition attracted nearly a hundred Arabic major students from more than 30 institutions and universities of higher education across the country. After a fierce competition in the preliminary round, a total of 24 candidates from the senior and junior groups entered the final. In the end, BLCU Arabic major contestants won 2 first prizes and 4 second prizes.

President Liu Li pointed out in his speech that in recent years, BLCU had fully played its special superiority role of promoting the humanities exchanges between China and the rest of the world and had built up a number of cultural exchange programs of brands through "bringing in" and "going out" CRI "Cup Speech Contest had become the first-class and internationally influential brand event in China.It had played an important role in promoting the training of senior professionals in Arabic and enhancing the foundation of humanities exchanges between China and Arab countries. It had become a beautiful contact card of Beijing Language and Culture University.

Since 2011, the "CRI" Cup National College Arabic Speak Contest hosted by China International Radio Station and took by Beijing Language and Culture University had been successfully held for five sessions. Over the past seven years, thousands of Arabic language major students from all over the country participated in the competition, selecting more than 100 outstanding Arabic professionals at home.
