November 18 to November 19, the oral examinations of National College English Text four and National College English Text six were held in BLCU. BLCU testing center had a registration number of 894 candidates of oral English test of CET-4; and it had a registration number of 398 candidates of oral English test of CET-6. After a reasonable arrangement and well organization, it had presented a good order and honest examination both in the waiting room and examination room on the examination day.

The exam was the first time that BLCU had taken the work of oral English examinations; the candidates were both from within BLCU and from out of BLCU. For the organization of oral exams was completely different from that of other exams, the problem of uncertainty might be more likely to occur, which had brought challenges to the text affairs office. On the afternoon of November 16, the text affairs office organized and held a meeting on exams and to    invigilators for CET-4 and CET-6. At the meeting, the text affairs office staff introduced in detail about workflow and related matters needing concerns and the system administrator introduced the procedures including the system operation, troubleshooting and other procedures during examination process, In the afternoon, the text affairs office organized the candidates to conduct the mock exams in accordance with the official examination process to help them become familiar with the system operation and facilitate them in preparing for the official exams.

In June 2017, in accordance with the notice of the Ministry of Education Examination Center, the text affairs office made a positive application of becoming a texting center for CET-4 and CET-6 and declared it successfully on October 12, 2017, making it the 16 testing center in Beijing. The approval of BLCU to become a texting center was of great significance in further improving the teaching quality of the basic courses of public English in Colleges and in facilitating the students to participate in the oral test.
