On the evening of November 17, the 2017 Council meeting of Confucius Institute at Georgia State University was held in a video conference.
Vice President Cao Zhiyun fully affirmed the various works of Confucius Institute at Georgia State University in 2017, especially the innovative project of opening up new campuses and establishing youth leaders groups. He hoped the Confucius Institute to exert its business features and provide support to local business organizations and Sino-U.S. Economic and trade cooperation.
Lissa Pam, Provost of Georgia State University, thanked BLCU for its consistent support to the construction of the Confucius Institute and commended the two universities for their cooperation based on the Confucius Institute's platform.
Subsequently, the council meeting voted to adopt the resolution of the Confucius Institute Council personnel adjustment. The two sides also discussed in detail about the cooperation including students’ summer courses, teacher exchanges, academic cooperation, the introduction of foreign language teachers in primary and secondary schools in Beijing, and the alliance of universities of Confucius Institutes.
