The 2nd "Belt and Road, Re-read China" Event Kicked Off

On the morning of October 26, the second "Belt and Road, Re-read China" event was grandly kicked off in Room 909, Beijing Language and Culture University Comprehensive building.

In his speech, President Liu Li said that "the Belt and Road, Re-read China" was in line with the core of cultural exchange and conformed to the development demands of the national strategy of "the Belt and Road". It had great significance in spurring academic development, inheriting culture and promoting economic and social development among countries. He said that cultural exchanges were the foundation of cooperation and development. As the leader of China's education opening up to the outside world, Beijing Language and Culture University had always regarded the humanities exchange as an important starting point for promoting education opening up and educational cooperation, had continuously expanded exchanges in the field of education, had promoted dialogues between different civilizations, had promoted mutual understanding between all peoples, and had deepened friendship between all peoples.

In the afternoon, Professor Ni Jianjun of China Institute of Contemporary International Relations had discussions and exchanges with guests on the topic of "The Belt and Road Initiative and China's Global Governance Prescription" in the No.1 conference room of BLCU Run Run Shaw building.

The first " Belt and Road, Re-read China" was held in 2016. It was jointly organized by the Overseas Chinese Alumni Association and Beijing Language and Culture University to attract and invite elites who had studied, worked in China and had made contributions to China to make specific contribution to China's cultural diplomacy, Asia's regional stability and peace and even the world's peace.
