On the afternoon of November 2, the 55th anniversary celebration of BLCU was held in the 909 conference room of the comprehensive building. The conference comprehensively summarized the 55th anniversary celebration of Beijing Language and Culture University and all functional departments shared the concrete achievements and experiences of the celebration.

Ni Haidong Secretary summed up the achievements made on the 55th anniversary: First, we attached great importance to the celebration and well organized the celebration. The celebration activities had received great attention from leaders at all levels. The relevant departments had qualified staff teams and they had well organized the activities with clear division of labor, reasonable and orderly scheduling. They had overcome the difficulties they encountered in their work and finally gained high quality and high-level achievements, which had been highly recognized by all the staff both inside and outside BLCU. Second, we well-designed, conscientiously completed the celebration. In the process of organizing the activities, all staff inside and outside BLCU seriously thought over and planned out various activities that have the characteristics of BLCU and can unite people together, and they carefully planned each link thus ensuring the smooth hold of all working processes. Third, we worked together and actively participated in the celebration. The successful hold of the celebration activities was inseparable from the support of teachers, students, alumni, experts, scholars, and retired comrades of BLCU. This was a tradition of BLCU that deserves recognition and inheritance. In the future job, we shall continue to carry it forward. Fourth, we built bridges and gathered strength. The celebration activities not only strengthened communication and exchange between teachers and students whitin BLCU, but also deepened the ties between the BLCU and all previous alumni, foreign students and experts and scholars, enhanced our sense of belonging and pride for BLCU, and we had closely linked and united as one than ever before. Fifth, we had presented wonderful performance and the spirit in it would last forever. The distinctive feature of the celebration activities, the wonderful scene, had made it both a school event and a feast of academic culture, which had fully embodied the cultural deposits of BLCU and BLCUers’ feelings. This BLCU spirit should be further developed and inherited.
