On the afternoon of November 3, the final of the eighth "Hello, Xian sheng (Voice first)" speech intonation contest of BLCU kicked off at BLCU Run Run Shaw Auditorium.
With an unprecedented scale, this speech intonation contest had built a language learning and exchange bridge for BLCU students. 26 finalists from different schools covering languages including English, French, Japanese, Korean, Chinese and Arabic, they cooperated and exchanged in the Xian sheng (First Voice) stage, which fully demonstrated their personal style and enhanced self-confidence and ability. The context invited senior teachers and foreign experts as group judges, and the experts judges covering six languages including six English, French, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, and Arabic.
The final were divided into three sections, namely "Wen Zhiyun" (story readme), "Ying Zhisheng" (film dubbing) and "Cheng Zhiguang" (Charm City Introduction). This contest highlighted its "new" characters: the brand new four-round contest system, added up to six languages, new candidates, the new set of contest links. Mr. Feng fully affirmed the performance of the candidates in this contest as well as put forward pertinent proposals for the candidates' pronunciation and intonation, hoping that we would redouble our efforts and continue to surpass ourselves in our future study.
The 8th "Hello, Xiansheng" speech intonation contest of BLCU, had all together involved 625 participants from the initial preparation to the final context, took nearly a month. Six languages were in full bloom in this autumn, finally fulfilled BLCU title of the "Mini-United Nations". They practiced the motto BLCU "virtuous language, harmonize the world".
