Recently, Confucius Institute at Okan University held its 2017 council meeting in the way of video conference.

President Liu Li reviewed the development history of the Confucius Institute at Okan University and fully affirmed the important role played by the Confucius Institute at Okan University. Over the past year, the Confucius Institute at Okan University the Confucius Institute at the Ocank University had opened various Chinese courses at Okan University, as well as at secondary, primary schools, and kindergartens. The courses set up at Okan University have been incorporated into its credit system. The Confucius Institute also successfully organized six HSK and HSKK examinations and carryed out a series of cultural activities with the Consultant-General of Istanbul Turkey, which had been visited and praised by Vice Premier Liu Yandong. In the 16th session of the "Chinese Bridge" World University Student Contest in the Turkey Division, the students from Confucius Institute at Okan University had achieved good results of a first prize and two third prizes. These cultural activities had greatly enhanced the influence of the Confucius Institute at the Confucius Institute at Okan University.

President of the Okan University said that the BLCU is the most important partner of their university, the Ocank University had cherished the chance to cooperate with BLCU a lot, and they would like to promote the exchanges and cooperation in other areas between the two sides, and hoped that more BLCU students to study at the Ocank University.

Liu Qiang, Dean of the University of Ocan University, made a 2017 annual report and 2018 work plan to the council. The Council also reviewed the use of funds for the year 2018 and approved the budget for the 2018 Confucius Institute.
