September 19 afternoon, the first lecture of the "Laiyuan Lecture Room" was grandly opened at Run Run Shaw lecture hall. Researcher Jiang Lansheng from Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Chinese Academy of Social Sciences was invited as the first honored guest, made a speech entitled "Ramble the method of studying". Vice-President Cao Zhiyun presided the lecture, more than 200 teachers and students listened to the lecture.

Master Jiang first introduced the essence of Mr. Lv Shuxiang's academic thoughts. She also shared with the audience his meticulous attitude towards studying attitude and the spirit of unremitting efforts about the Mr. Lv Shuxiang through a few little stories. Secondly, master Jiang shared her own understanding towards study. She stressed that in studying, one should follow the basic requirements and rules of academic research, and compared to knowledge, the cultivating of dialectical, scientific thinking method is more important. Finally, Master Jiang talked about the relationship between studying and life.

"Laiyaun garden" is BLCU’s typical garden landscape; it takes the meaning "How delightful it is to have friends visiting us from afar!” The purpose of setting this lecture room is to show the content of this spirit and to accomplish the purposes of promoting academic spirit, intermediate China and other countries in the world, open up and being inclusiveness to the rest of the world, innovate and develop". In each lecture, BLCU will invite well-known scholars at home and abroad to give academic lectures, so as to broaden the academic vision of teachers and students, enrich cultural literacy and overall qualities, to open up high-end academic platform for enhancing the cultural connotation of the campus.
