On the afternoon of September 8th, on the arrival of the BLCU’s 55th birthday and the 33rd Teacher's Day, the 55th anniversary celebration of Beijing Language and Culture University and the Commendation meeting of the 33rd Teacher's Day was held in the Beiyu Litang.

As motto of BLCU, "Spread virtues through languages，bring harmony to the world " is a true portrayal of the 55 years history of  BLCU , which is a concentrated summary of generations of BLCUers spirit and the essential reflection of the subject characteristics of BLCU.

"Spread the Chinese, promote the Chinese culture," "Introduce China to the world, let China advance towards the world" is the glorious mission of generations of BLCUers. BLCU has gone through an extraordinary 55 years, the university faculty is not only witnesses, participants, but also the successor and pioneer of BLCU.
