Recently, in order to promote the BLCU students to read more books, read excellent books, and be fond of reading, the 2017 “Let’s read together” read season series online activities have started. The activities rely on the “Beijing Language and Culture University Communist Youth League” WeChat public account and microblog account, which have launched five online activities, attracting the participation of nearly 400 people.

Activities have attracted the extensive attention and participation of teachers and students inside and outside BLCU. During the activities, the cumulative number of the micro-public letter is 23 articles, reading quantity is more than 5000 times; related microblogging page views is more than 8500 times.

Since the release of “Let’s read together” Read season series online, the students post their own reading declaration, reading experience in their friends circle, and microblog. The activitiy “Write a poem”, not only makes everyone experience the charm of poetry, but also feels the power of writing. The School Communist Youth League have also worked with the school 208 studio to produce the “Reading without border” World Youth Reading Theme video, international students from Israel, Kazakhstan, Russia, Spain, Egypt and other countries have introduce their favorite world calssics in the video to everyone and have shared their own reading experience. At present, the video views has more than 2000 times.

“Let’s read together” Reading season series online activities have received the active participation of teachers and students, and it reflects well. The School League Committee hopes that through innovative methods and students favorite way to promote the students to approach the classics, grow the sentimental power towards the classics, and stimulate everyone’s reading enthusiasm, so that forming a campus culture of advocating reading, taste the classic.
