On the afternoon of May 5, the first Beijing Language and Culture University “Fang Li Scholarship” Personal Story Report and the Awards Ceremony were held by the Foreign Language Department and the School Education Foundation.

Professor Fang Li, a famous linguist, BLCU doctoral tutor, is an excellent research leader in theoretical linguistics and mathematical linguistics in China. In order to commemorate Professor Fang Li’s rigorous study, combined teaching and research , and inspiring achievements as a teacher in the field of linguistics research, Beijing Language and Culture University Education Foundation, together with family members of professor Fang Li, students jointly set up a special public fund project “Fang Linguistics Education Fund”, to organize Fang Li teacher academic works, reward outstanding linguistics scholars.

As part of the “Fang Li Language Education Fund”, “Fang Li Scholarship” designed to encourage outstanding performance in all aspects of undergraduate students of BLCU Faculty of Foreign Studies, hoping that they can inherit and carry forward the academic spirit of Professor Fang Li.
