On the afternoon of May 6th, Wu Jue Dantong, BLCU alumni, member from United Nationalities Federal Council of Myanmar, led a delegation to visit BLCU.

Wu Seti, Myanmar Confucius Classroom Director, Mandalay Fuqing School President introduced the development and achievements of Chinese teaching in Myanmar. He stressed that many of the Chinese textbooks currently used in the Confucius Classroom in Myanmar were published by Beijing Language and Culture University Press, and hoped that more students with scholarship from Confucius Classroom in Myanmar would learn Chinese or study related Chinese proficiency courses in BLCU.

After the talks, Mr. Wu Jue Dantong visited the school’s Wutong Bookstore and the No.8 student dormitory he had lived. He said that in the future, he would often go back to visit his alma mater once he have the opportunity, and expressed his gratefulness to BLCU’s support and care for Myanmar students as always. BLCU played a very important role in advancing the advancement of Sino-Burmese relations, because only with a good knowledge of Chinese, can we have a better understanding of China.
