On the evening of May 7, the 12th session of BLCU “Sing-A-Holic” Chinese and foreign student singer contest at Beijing Language and Culture University held the final at Yifu Stadium. The ten groups of Chinese and foreign singers From the semi-finals compete fiercely, with moving songs, the singers offered the audience a musical feast. Finally, the No. 5 singer Zhou Ziqi (Chinese) successfully took the crown.
There were three rounds to the competition. In the first round of the competition, ten singers sang in turn, the ranking was made according to the scoring level which was ranked from high scores to low scores, the two lowest-scoring groups were then eliminated, and the remaining eight groups were selected for the second round. In the second round of the competition, the singers were ranked by the scoring of the first round from high scores to low scores. The first four groups of singers acted as the defenders, and the four other groups acted as the challengers. They competed with each other through the lottery decision on site. The two sides competed, and the results were given by the judges in the means of showing the cards. Finally, a total number of four players could be elected for the third round, and they competed for the championship. In the end, the Chinese player Zhou Ziqi won the title, “the grain group” from Japan won the runner-up, the Chinese player Wei Yaqi won the third place. The 12th session of BLCU “Sing-A-Holic” Chinese and foreign students’ singer contest ended successfully.
“Sing-A-Holic” Chinese and foreign students’ singer contest attracted wide attention of both inside and outside BLCU, candidates from around the world gave wings to their dreams using music, by which they added fresh elements to the “Small United Nations” in its process of promoting foreign exchange.
