Sao Tome and Principe Prime Minister Troy Wada visits BLCU

On the morning of April 13th, the Portuguese major students of BLCU celebrated the visit of Troy Wada, the Prime Minister of Sao Tome and Principe with the fluent Portuguese and flowers.

Li Yuming secretary said that the arrival of Prime Minister Troy Wada and the students of Democratic Republic of Sao Tome and Principe who would study in China opened the door to educational and cultural exchanges between the two countries, which would add new vitality to the multiplicity campus of BLCU, increase mutual understanding and friendship between the youth of both countries, and lay the foundation for future cooperation between the two countries in various fields.

Prime Minister Troy Wada said that education is fundamental, and sometimes it is even more difficult to cultivate talents then to develop their economies. Language is the bridge of communication. We could only promote the exchange and cooperation between countries through learning the language and understanding the culture. He hoped that their students studying in China could study their language and profession well, gain a deeper understanding of Chinese culture, continue to enhance mutual trust, and contribute to the development of the country after their study in BLCU.

In early January this year, BLCU enrolled 19 Sao Tome and Principe students. BLCU carefully take care of their daily life, cultural experience and daily life management and services. The Chinese Express Learning of BLCU has arranged experienced teachers who are able to teach in English for the students, and has received the praise of the international students.
