On the morning of 11 April, Vice-Chancellor Cao Zhiyun met with Costa Rican Minister of Public Education Sonia Mora and Costa Rican Ambassador to China Ricardo Leon.
Minister Mora said that the high degree of internationalization of BLCU, is vital important for improving the overall quality of students and cultivating students’ international horizons. Costa Rica learning Chinese heat continues to grow, the Ministry of Education began to set up a Chinese project in primary and secondary schools, hoping that the project could develop into a long-lasting project, thus it needs the Chinese government to provide Chinese language teaching experts to assist them to assess Chinese language projects and design courses.
The two sides exchanged information on the cooperation including Confucius Institutes, the exchange of teachers, students, and Chinese teaching materials, hoping to cooperate in a comprehensive manner.
