April 22, The opening ceremony of the 2017 Malaysian Festival was held in wind and rain soccer field of BLCU.

Zhang Baoyun, director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Department, said in his address that Beijing Language and Culture University has lots of international students, and BLCU also has many Malaysian students. We have been working actively with the Malaysian universities to carry out academic exchanges and cooperation and have made significant achievements. And today, in the BLCU campus, we have the honor to usher the “2017 Malaysian Festival”. We would like the international students to take this opportunity to learn each other's culture, thus enhancing mutual friendship, which a goal of China - ASEAN Language and Culture Center that our university has been working.

The Festival set up cultural stalls, art stalls, game stalls, and gourmet stalls to introduce the local cultural and folklore features of Malaysia in the form of exhibition panels, video presentations, food tastes and objects presentations. There is a peak link in the middle of the playground—a giant Malaysian characteristic canvas, the color of the graphics is filled with colorful Indian rice color, which means passing on the enthusiasm of the Malaysian people to everyone.
