On the evening of March 21st, “The Poem For You” World Poetry Day special event - Beijing Language and Culture University poetry recitation contest was held in the Yifu lecture hall.

After the two rounds of the game, the judges gave full affirmation of the performance of the players. During the exchange with each player on the poetry’s emotion and meaning, they also explained the meaning of reading poems at the same time. In the end, Wei Lai won the championship; Shao Wenpeng, Zheng Yiqiao won the second prize; Xu Yiwen, Zhang Wanxin, Wang Jingyi won the third prize; the most popular and most potential awards were awarded to Lin Ya from Malaysia and Zafar Khan from Pakistani.

The poetry recitation game let college students and poetry get closer. The participation of Chinese and foreign students also showed the unique charm of “Little United Nations”.
