March 3 to 7, the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation’s work of recruiting volunteers in BLCU carried out smoothly. The event attracted more than 440 students’ active registration. Among them, nearly 150 students have passed the qualification review and primary selection of the organizing committee, and have participated in the first round of interviews. Teachers from the school committee are responsible for the interview.
In the interview, the students showed their own good qualities. They hold the enthusiasm of the volunteer service and their dedication minds, brought the best of themselves. A senior four student from TCSOL participated in this round of interview said: "This activity is of high specifications, for the volunteers, the interview is more stringent and comprehensive in examining their abilities such as their foreign language level and related volunteer experiences." It is understood that this round of the interview is expected to select 120 preparatory volunteers.
The International Cooperation Summit Forum in 2017 will be held in Beijing from May 14 to 15 this year. It is a strategic initiative for China to boost the world economy. It is also an important platform for deepening international cooperation. It is also the innovative practice of Win - win Idea. BLCU volunteers will provide volunteer services for the conference forum and show the good image of contemporary college students.
