In the morning of October 24, Professor Pramen Legekostupu was appointed as the Senior Advisor of Beijing Language and Culture University and the Senior Advisor of the Teacher Training Center of Confucius Institute and Professor Iskra Mendova was employed as consultant of the Confucius Institute Teacher Training Center. The ceremony was held in BLCU.

President Cui Xiliang presented letters of appointment to the two professors. He pointed out that BLCU is the only international university with the main mission of developing Chinese language and Chinese culture for international students. It is striving to build a world-class language university. The realization of this goal not only relies on all teachers and students, the joint efforts of all my colleagues, but also needs to have an international perspective and professionalism of the think tank effort to help out.

Professor Pramen Legekostupu said he hopes to establish new master and doctoral programs as soon as possible through joint efforts with Chinese colleagues. He hoped that through the culture, art, science, education exchange we can make the relationship between each other more harmonious for a long time.

Professor Iskra Mendova said Confucius Institute is the bridge between the past and the future, known and unknown. Through Confucius Institute this platform, the two universities will gain more success through the cooperation in the future.
