On Oct. 29, the 9th National Multilingual Interpreting Competition “Yongwang Cup” jointly hosted by China Translation Association and Beijing International Studies University was held in Beijing International Studies University. After the first round of the network chosen, on-site semi-finals and the final fierce competition, Shang Xiaojia, a grade 2014 graduate from the Japanese Simultaneous Interpretation of Japanese Department won the Japanese Simultaneous Interpretation champion with excellent performance.

National Interpretation Competition held for nine years, has become a high visibility and significant influence of the non-common language interpretation contest. In the previous competitions, the Japanese translation team of our university has achieved honorable accomplishment of the simultaneous interpretation.
