In the morning of October 19, President Cui Xiliang met with Kerry Talor, Dean of Faculty of Humanities, Massey University in New Zealand and Michael Li, Chinese Program Officer, Faculty of Humanities, Massey University. The two sides held in-depth exchanges and specific implementation on the Joint Research Center of the two sides and cooperation matters.
Cui said that BLCU will continue to work hard to promote cooperation between the two sides. Our Chinese Study Center has established a research institute with the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and the cooperation is very smooth. And with Massey University jointly established research center can learn from the former experience. Kerry Talor, Dean of Faculty of Humanities, Massey University, expressed his gratitude to Cui for his warm welcome and hoped to strengthen cooperation between the two sides.
Zheng Yanqun, a teacher at the Center for Teaching Chinese as a Second Language, said that the two universities had already started substantive cooperation in this semester and used distance teaching methods to guide Chinese learners in New Zealand. The two sides expressed their high appreciation for the rapid and substantive cooperation after the signing of the memorandum, and hoped to extend the cooperation to other fields on this basis.
