In the morning of September 14, the opening ceremony of the grade 2016 Chinese and foreign postgraduate students of Beijing Language and Culture University was held in the new auditorium.

President Cui delivered a speech with ebullience and affection. He first expressed our sincere welcome to the Chinese and foreign postgraduates from all corners of the world and put forward the expectation. He hoped that the students can maintain the true self and attention in the impetuous social environment, learn the open-minded attitude of ancient sages, positively and optimistically to seek dream, train their ability of observation and thinking, striving to grow into not only the concentrate and passionate scholars, but also practical people who could step out of the study to play an important role in the society, benefit people’s livelihood. He wished new students could accommodate into the BLCU family as soon as possible, enjoy the precious time on campus. His earnest speech won the audience loud and persistent applause.

The ceremony coincides with Mid-Autumn Festival. We specially arranged freshmen delegates from all around the world to send lovely cards to leaders and professors. The school leaders and professors sent university badges to freshmen representatives of different skins, different clothing, congratulating them on becoming “BLCUer”.
