On July 16, the volunteers officially came to their positions for the 24th Annual Meeting of the International Chinese Linguistics Society. On the first day of service, 16 BLCU volunteers were distributed in concierge reception, venue assistant and campus reception group.

Concierge group has every two students in a team and is mainly responsible for pick-up at the Capital International Airport and guide the guests to the designated hotel and assist their check-in. Venue assistant group is divided to Xijiao Guesthouse and Orange Hotel group, mainly responsible for the registration of participants information and distribute conference materials for guests and assist guests check-in, guide guests the dining route. The campus group came to serve on the same day at the dinner, responsible for guiding the guests to dine in Qing Yan Building.
