From July 1 to 3, Beijing Language and Culture University and Baise College jointly organized the “Frontier Language and Culture and the Fourth China Surrounding Languages and Cultures” was held at Baise College in Guangxi.

The forum had a tight schedule arrangement, in addition to the keynote report, there were two sub venues, more than 70 scholars discussed on language structure characteristics of frontier languages, language use present situation, characteristics of language and culture and research methods, and cross-border language ecology and language strategy, and achieved good results. The forum topics are very apt to the great demand of state and society, the paper has representative meaning, covers a wide range, conveys large amount of information, achieves rich and deep results. The delegates debated sharply and lively, achieved the expected goal. The forum builds a bridge for frontier language and cultural exchanges, further promotes the frontier language condition surveys and research, frontier language theory study and method exploration.
