In the morning of June 29, the flags of all countries waved in the campus of BLCU, Chinese and foreign teachers and students gathered outside of the art gallery to welcome Bulgarian National Parliament speaker Tsetska Tsacheva. Speaker Tsacheva met with the Party Secretary Li Yuming and carried out exchanges with foreign students on behalf of BLCU.
Secretary Li Yuming said in his speech that the exhibition of Professor Plamen Legostop held in BLCU is a meaningful activity promoting cultural exchanges between China and Bulgaria, is through the form of art, the establishment of communication bridge and an effective way to enhance the friendship between the two countries. Bulgaria is one of the first European countries to establish diplomatic relations with China and has a long-term friendly and cooperative partnership with China. With the development of the times, cooperation between the two countries in various fields is constantly strengthened, especially in the field of education and culture, which also continue to make new achievements. In the future, we will welcome more Bulgarian experts and scholars to carry out research or lecturing activities in China, BLCU will encourage and support relevant scholars to carry out academic exchange activities in colleges and universities in Bulgaria, constantly activating bilateral educational exchanges, in order to obtain more achievements.
Speaker Tsacheva said that BLCU is not “mini United Nations”, but the “big United Nations”. It is a bridge of friendship for world cultural exchanges and development. The paintings exhibited of Professor Plamen Legostop contain not only traditional Bulgarian style but also Chinese elements, is the new embodiment of cultural exchanges and integration of the two countries. In recent years, China and Bulgaria continue to strengthen cultural exchanges: many Bulgarian students come to learn Chinese in China and many Chinese students studying Bulgarian language. China also attaches great importance to the positive role of Confucius Institute in the cultural exchanges of the two countries, which develops talents and lays the foundation for the development of friendly relations between the two countries.
BLCU Bangkok College Alumni Delegation Visited BLCU
On June 29, BLCU Bangkok College Alumni delegation visited BLCU foundation as the donation representatives of “Thailand Alumni Scholarship” project.
“Thailand Alumni Scholarship” project was set in 2016, aiming to reward six Thailand students each year considering of their academic performance and comprehensive quality, the standard reward is 3000 Yuan per person. The alumni showed recognition to the set and accreditation of the scholarship, hoping to help more Thailand students to learn in China and achieve their dreams through joint efforts.
