In the morning of June 29, with the melodious sound of BLCU campus song, thousands of Chinese and foreign graduates gathered in Shaw stadium. They took the diploma from hands the professors, leaving the bright smile. Carrying the hope of BLCU, the graduates of year 2016 will be in a new starting point in their life.

President Cui Xiliang congratulate to the graduates for successfully completing their studies on behalf of the university, expressed his thanks to the hard-working teachers and the parents, relatives and friends of the graduates. President Cui said to the graduates that the most important and valuable wealth during the four years of college life is your teachers, classmates and friends. The unique cultural atmosphere of BLCU enables people from different countries, regions and cultural backgrounds to learn from each other, which is unmatched by other universities. He wants the graduates to become happy people, have dream, humanistic feelings, capability, attitude and responsibility, and be able to recognize the time, the society, the world and the self. President Cui told graduates not to forget BLCU motto “Virtue Speech, Harmonious World” and to serve the world with their knowledge and ability.

A total of 2064 students graduated this year with 2061 people get degrees. Among them, 795 Chinese and foreign students graduated and get master degrees; 1269 Chinese and foreign undergraduates graduated with 1266 students earned their bachelor degrees, 82 people received double degree certificate. The graduates of this year come from 51 countries, including the Commonwealth of Australia, the Federal Republic of Germany, the Russian Federation, the Republic of France, Canada, the United States of America, Italy Republic, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the People’s Republic of China, distributed in 25 postgraduate majors of International Politics, Ideological and Political Education, Curriculum and Teaching Theory, Basic Psychology, Literature, Linguistics and Applied Linguistics, Chinese International Education, English Translation, French Interpretation and others; and 24 undergraduate majors of Chinese Language, Teaching Chinese as a Second Language, Chinese Language and Literature, Chinese International Education, translation and so on. 81 students have been awarded outstanding graduates, among whom are 34 graduates and 47 undergraduates.
