BLCU held it's grand opening ceremony for the  2010 entering class in the Yifu Recreational Hall.  University heads, professors, teachers and upperclassmen attended the ceremony and welcomed new undergraduate and graduate students from all over the country. This year's entering freshmen totaled 1571. During the ceremony, BLCU President Cui Xiliang formerly addressed the new students. Honoring BLCU's tradition of welcoming new students,  the university leaders and professors presented the students with head garlands. Upperclassmen presented the entering classes with university crests.
