The February 19th was the lunar New Year day in China, on this special day the “Children’s China” Culture Exhibition held a great opening ceremony in Saint Louis, America. The program was jointly organized by the Confucius College of Webster University and the Children’s Museum Magic House.
The opening ceremony officially began at 7 p.m., the guests present at the event were the Missouri Senator Ms. Deb Lavender, the director of the Free Fund of Asian Cultural Exhibition, the director of the Children’s Museum Association Ms. Gail Ringel, the chairman of the Magic House Children’s Museum Mr. John Drexler, the curator of the Magic House Children’s Museum Ms. Beth Fitzgerald, the vice president of Webster University Mr. Grant Chapman, the president of the Confucius College of Webster University Dr. Deborah Trott Pierce. More than 200 celebrities also attended the event in Saint Louis. The opening ceremony was coincided with the lunar New Year of China, and the Magic House prepared delicious Chinese dinner for the guests.
“Children’s China” Culture Exhibition was supported by the Headquarters of Confucius Institute and America Freeman Foundation and organized by the Saint Louis Children’s Museum and the Confucius College of Webster University. The exhibition launched in February 2015 will last for 3 years in America nationwide. The project aims at exhibiting the essence of the classical and modern Chinese culture to American children and let them experience the vivid Chinese culture.
