On the afternoon of March 9, the Principal Cui Xiliang met with the director Liu Haitao and his two colleagues in the reception room 906 of the Comprehensive Building. Under the national strategic background of “One Belt One Road”, they had cordial talks in strengthening cooperation, including building the “Beijing Research and Development Center for China-Arab TV”, improving the program production, talent cultivation and academic research etc. and promoting the cultural exchange of China and Arab.
Principal Cui said, under the national strategic background of “One Belt One Road”, China-Arab TV can do what other platforms cannot as television media platform, and BLCU wishes to participate and contribute to the construction of “One Belt One Road”. Then Cui introduced the BLCU development situation, especially the progress made in recent international cooperation and the idea of building the research institute for “One Belt One Road”. Cui said, over the years, BLCU has maintained a good relationship with Arabia countries and established Arabia research center and Middle East Institute in succession. With abundant human resources and cooperative advantages, Cui hoped that the two sides could take the joint construction of “Beijing Research and Development Center for China-Arab TV” as the starting point, carrying out deep cooperation and jointly contributing to the construction of “One Belt One Road” and the cultural exchange of China and Arab.
