On May 26^th, Yu Minhong, president of New Oriental Education and Technology Group, came to BLCU and gave a splendid speech themed on “Challenge to get uncommon achievements”. This activity was hosted by the school Employment Guidance Center and undertook by Student Career Development Association.

　　Teacher Yu thought that “the lack of a good family background instead can give people opportunities to struggle, and the appearance can not decide whether one is young or old mentally. The basis of success lies in keeping good mentality. Life is fair, although you have to compare with others and endure lowliness when you were young, only after that time when you fell inferiority can you temper yourself with confidence and mettle.” He also said that “students should focus on their own major, it is not important whether you can use it or not, the important is to cultivate the ability to study.” When coming to the question of how to get achievement on one field, teacher Yu thought that “willingness, ability, resources” were the key factors to succeed, and the young should use the strong will to improve his ability. In the end, teacher Yu shared with the present students on topics like self-esteem and dignity, reading and making friends and so on. This activity was crowned with a complete success.
