Study the Spirit of May Fourth Speech by General Secretary Xi Jinping Talk about My Dream·BLCU’s Dream·China's Dream
On May 16th, BLCU hosted a conversazione to study the spirit of May Fourth speech by general secretary Xi Jinping. Deputy secretary Huo Mingjie and representatives of young teachers and students all participated the conversazione to further study the spirit conveyed by the speech and have a better understanding of the speech. The young teachers and students talked about ambitions and dreams, discussing experience and understandings of the speech.
Deputy secretary Huo Mingjie put forward three expectations for young teachers and students. Firstly, do have a dream, and strengthen one's conviction. One should integrate personal dream with the whole country’s dream in which one should struggle for the rejuvenation of China and grow up in realizing China's dream with high-spirited ambition and solid studying and working achievements. Secondly, dare to play and be pioneers and shoulder the glorious mission endowed by the age. One should dare to strive for excellence and make contribution to the state, nation and society with good performance. Thirdly, dare to assault fortified positions, train for proficient skills, polish resolute character and have the courage to overcome difficulties. Realizing the dream means hard working, so one should persistent in endeavor to realize “My Dream · BLCU’s Dream · China’s Dream”.
Currently and for a period of time afterwards, the teachers and students should further learn and implement the May Fourth speech spirit and take it as an important part of the study of the spirit of the eighteenth congress of Chinese Communist Party. Meanwhile, the school organize and mobilize the whole faculty through a series of theme educative activities of “My Dream · BLCU’s Dream · China’s Dream”, which makes more youths to chase their dreams and combine personal struggle with the nation's common ideal.
