On the afternoon of March 29, all teachers and students of 2019 “Chinese Bridge-Australian High School Students’ Spring Camp” and “Victorian Young Leaders to China” Project (VYLC)” visited Confucius Institute Headquarters/Hanban. This project is jointly sponsored by Confucius Institute Headquarters/Hanban and the Education and Training Department of the Australian Government and is undertaken by Beijing Language and Culture University Chinese Intensive College.

体顶端At the ceremony, little campers gave a wonderful presentation and shared what they had learned and felt for two weeks. Their performances include various forms such as Peking opera, tai chi, fan dance, Chinese dramatic skits and other performances, which have integrated the campers’ understanding of Chinese culture. Many campers interspersed Chinese and English introductions in the performance to illustrate the changes and growth brought about by their two-week learning experience. The students expressed their heartfelt thanks to the teachers and volunteers of the Chinese Intensive College.

The project leader hopes that Australian campers can further enhance China’s awareness through learning China’s 5000-year history and culture, improve their leadership, broaden their vision of global participation and become a link of friendship between Australia and China.
