On April 12 and 13, local time, Confucius Institute at Georgia State University organized 2019 summer camp for students and pre-trip training meeting for education officials visiting China. Answering questions for the student group and the education official group that will soon start their trip to China.
Ms. Kimberly Henshaw, Executive Director of Foreign Party of the Confucius Institute at Georgia State University, explained in detail the specific itinerary and precautions of the summer camp, and kindly prepared a large package for students to visit China, which contains commonly used Chinese vocabulary manuals, notebooks, visa materials packages, summer curriculum schedule, etc. Stephen Murray, Head of the international program at Georgia State University’s Department of Overseas Studies, personally present to guide students in visa application, airline ticket insurance booking and other related matters.
The purpose of the visiting program for education officials is to help U.S. education officials understand China’s contemporary education mechanism and cultural development, strengthen mutual cultural communication and understanding and cultural exchanges between China and the United States. During the visit, they will learn about traditional Chinese culture and Chinese city culture, visit schools in Beijing and Shanghai, and learn about the current situation of basic education and higher education in China through on-the-spot investigation and academic exchanges.
