On April 19, Beijing Language and Culture University annual sports meeting was held. The purpose that BLCU insists on carrying out track and field games is further enriching campus cultural life, encourage all teachers, students, and employees to actively participate in physical exercises, and promote the development of campus sports.

Wen Chao, an Egyptian student from the College of Advanced Chinese Training of Faculty of International Education of Chinese Language, spoke as an athlete’s representative. He said that the annual sports meeting is a grand gathering of all teachers and students. There are always wins and losses in the competition, but friendship is always priceless. Although the sports only last for one short day, foreign students from different countries in the world will always remember the sweat and hard work of this day and keep BLCU in their minds.

The opening ceremony of the sports meeting is innovative in form and highlights individual characteristics. Fierce competition shows the competing spirit of sports; In the events of interest, the students unite and collaborate with each other, pleasuring to their body and mind.

The sports meeting received active participation and response from teachers and students in Beijing Language and Culture University. It showed the spirit of indomitable fighting and defying hardship. This year marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of New China, the key year for winning a victory and building a well-off society in an all-round way, and also an important year for our university to promote the construction of a first-class language university. BLCUers will work harder to push forward the cause of “building a first-class language university”.
