The afternoon of June 1, 2012, BLCU's Yi Fu Building was filled with swords, fists and constant cheers as people witnessed the celebration of the martial arts cultural activities for cultural exchange, held by the Ministry of Sports. Beijing Sport's University School of martial arts teachers and the Dean's Office, College of Intensive Chinese Studies, the Head of the Department of Physical Education all attended the event. Over 1800 Chinese and International students participated in the event.

　　The purpose of this popular activity was to warmly celebrate the 50th anniversary of the founding of BLCU, commemorating rich Chinese and international students sports and cultural exchange activities, and enabling more students to understand and participate in the practice of Wushu. BLCU welcomed the invite of Beijing Sports University to BLCU as well as more than 20 colleges, graduate schools and athletes that have won the championship in National Wushu competitions. The event was flowered with a display of activity of different dynasties of Han Chinese clothing as aesthetic culture.

　　This event showed the charm of Chinese Wushu culture, strengthened student interest in participating in cultural-related sports in order to flavor an active cultural life on campus. The development of martial arts in schools has played a significant role in promoting these interests.
