On April 27, 2016 New Zealand overseas native Chinese teachers training, as one of overseas native Chinese teachers training programs, organized by Confucius Institute Headquarters / Hanban, undertaken by the International Chinese Teaching and Research Base, held seminar graduation ceremony. The 12 Chinese primary and secondary school teachers of New Zealand successfully graduated.
The New Zealand native Chinese teachers training class is one of projects supported by the New Zealand Ministry of Education and is the third consecutive year it’s settled in BLCU. Participants said that through three weeks training, they not only improved their Chinese language and Chinese language teaching level, but also experienced true, comprehensive and vivid Chinese cultural activities, which broaden their horizons and deepen their understandings of Chinese culture. They said they would bring better and more comprehensive Chinese culture to disseminate to the local students after returning to New Zealand.
