In the afternoon of April 12, the opening ceremony of the 2016 Sino-Egyptian Culture Year series activities and the thirteenth World Cultural Festival were held at the Yi Fu auditorium.

    BLCU Chinese and foreign student art troupe brought the audience the excellent opening performances. BLCU Egyptian students performed the carefully prepared songs, students from Arabic major showed the unique charm of the dance of Egypt with their graceful dance. After the opening ceremony, the famous Egyptian archaeologists made a special lecture to lead students to approach the mysterious and charming land of Egypt.

    2016 is the year of 60 anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Egypt; this activity is designed to help the majority of Chinese young students to understand Egyptian culture and to promote friendly relations between the two countries.
