On March 29, Secretary Li Yuming met with the President of the Université Libre de Bruxelles, Belgium (French) Professor Didier Viviers and a line of four. The two sides carried out cordial and friendly talks and exchanged views on the possible cooperation between the two universities.
Secretary Li introduced to President Didier Viviers the new Sinology plan of our university, the East Dai River campus which is under construction and the new majors, looking forward to further expand areas of cooperation between the two universities.
President Didier Viviers introduced the development of the Université Libre de Bruxelles, Belgium (French) in recent years. He said that with the merger of the school of translation and the importance of Chinese translation and the study of Sinology, Université Libre de Bruxelles is looking forward to cooperate in more fields.
Founded in 1834, the Université Libre de Bruxelles, Belgium (French) is one of the oldest universities in Belgium, known for its multicultural. Cooperation between the two universities began in 2010 that each university will choose two undergraduate students to exchange in the other university annually and in 2015 the two universities resigned a memorandum of the cooperation.
