Late on November 13, famous Canadian Chinese scholar Dashan came to Beijing Language and Culture University, brought wonderful stand up comedy program for the students.
Dashan shared his experience of learning Chinese with the audience. He said that the “encouraging education” of the enthusiasm of the Chinese people in teaching foreigners Chinese language gave him a lot of encouragement. In his three years in Peking University, he touched the lives of ordinary people in China, and felt the art of Chinese language, learning Chinese and learning Chinese culture in his life. He also learned from teacher Jiang Kun, studied drama and comedy, not only improve the language ability, but also learn how to spiritually communicate with the audience in performing. After sharing the story, Dashan brought an allegro performances, once the allegro ceased, the audience immediately burst into cheers and applause.
As for the problem of how to learn Chinese for foreigners, Dashan said: “You have to believe that it is not difficult to learn Chinese. Learning Chinese is an endless process and make clear the purpose of learning Chinese, learn Chinese in communication with Chinese people.”
