On 22nd May, the Beijing Language and Culture University hired professor Pu Yonghuan of Dongguk University of Korea as the visiting professor and the ceremony was held in classroom 707 of the new Comprehensive Building.

　　Professor Pu Yonghuan graduated from the Department of Chinese language and literature of Korea Dongguk University in 1987, received a master’s degree at Taiwan University in 1992 and received a doctor’s degree at Peking University in 1996. After returning Korea, Professor Pu Yonghuan held the post of Professor, director of Chinese Department and head of international exchange office of Dongguk University and also served in a variety of social duties. The research field of Professor Pu Yonghuan covers the Songs of Chu, the Poetics of Song Dynasty, literary theory of Song Dynasty, comparative study of China and South Korea culture and other aspects.

　　Professor Pu Yonghuan’s join has important significance in strengthening our university’s communication and cooperation with international Sinology and expanding our academic influence etc.
